This past March 15th, Long Island lost 4 National Guardsmen from the 106th Rescue Wing based out of Gabreski in Westhampton Beach while serving in Iraq when their helicopter hit unmarked power lines killing all 7 members of the military on board. Chris Raguso, was among them.

Chris loved CrossFit. In fact, most of those killed did CrossFit in Long Island at home or while on deployment.

As fate has it, Chris and his friend Dashan Briggs are buried at Calverton National Cemetery right next to Michael Murphy. The same Michael Murphy we honor every year (and sometimes more) when we do “Murph”.
